For the third year in a row, CELEBRATE ISLANDS is holding a video contest to provide financial support for small conservation projects on islands.
Try to win one of the 7 project grants to carry out a small concrete project on your island matching to one of this year’s 3 themes !

Application criteria
Eligibility
- Territory : island not connected to the mainland by a permanent infrastructure and with a surface area smaller than 150 km2
- Project holders : associations or non-governmental organizations justifying at least one year of existence
Project criteria
- Concrete preservation actions falling under one of the 3 themes of the 2023 edition (see below)
- The project can be implemented before January 31, 2024
- The project is relevant and coherent for the territory and involves local stakeholders
- An organization can only submit one application!
Video criteria
- Maximum duration of 2 minutes
- Integrate English subtitles
- Integrate the two images at the beginning and end of the video available in the communication kit

3 themes are in the spotlight
ECOLOGICAL RESTAURATION
- The stages of prospecting and preparation for the implementation of ecological restoration (acquisition of upstream knowledge; studies; inventories);
- The implementation of one or more concrete actions of ecological restoration, terrestrial or marine, in connection with a species (animal or plant) or a global ecosystem;
2 grants of 4 000€ each
CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND WASTE RECOVERY
- The purchase and installation of equipment allowing the recovery or reuse of organic and/or non-organic waste;
- Reflection, study and training of local communities in the perspective of recovery of organic or non-organic waste;
- The development of an already existing and functional model of recovery and/or circular economy (communication, advertising, premises…).
2 grants of 4 000€ each
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND AQUACULTURE
- The purchase and installation of materials allowing the implementation of sustainable agriculture and/or aquaculture practices;
- Reflection, studies and training of the local communities with the aim of developing and setting up new practices of sustainable agriculture and/or aquaculture.

PEOPLE'S FAVOURITE AWARD
The video with the most votes on the Celebrate Islands platform will get a prize of 4,000 euros. Votes from May 10 to 16!
