Reforestation of Red Mangroves in the Bay Islands National marine park
Ce projet se concentrera sur le reboisement de la forêt de mangrove dans les zones dégradées par l’activité anthropique autour de l’île de Roatan. Par conséquent, il sera réalisé dans différentes communautés comme Flowers Bay, Pensacola, Sandy Bay, Mud Hole, Punta Gorda, Santa Helena et Politilly Bight.

Grâce à ce projet, BICA prévoit d’utiliser des drones aériens comme méthode non intrusive pour surveiller, identifier et suivre les déchets marins et comprendre leurs origines dans le parc marin national des îles Bay.
Plastic free is the way to be
Our project aims to support the environment and promote social inclusion by collaborating with a center for handicapped individuals to recycle and responsibly dispose of plastic traps and nets. We will collect the ghost fishing nets from Kuriat MPA and repurpose them into various products, such as reusable bags, painting and decoration items, in order to reduce plastic pollution in site. By involving the handicapped individuals in this process, we provide them with the opportunity to contribute positively to their communities and the environment.
